Wings Over Houston Airshow Scholarship Program
The Wings Over Houston Airshow (WOH) has established a scholarship program for college students who have completed their second year of study in aviation or a related field. The applicant's academic discipline does not have to be in a technical area but may include business, management, marketing or other fields that are directly reated to aviation.
For the 2008-2009 academic year, the Wings Over Houston Airshow intends to award up to five scholarships of up to $5,000 each. The selcetion will be made by the Wings Over Houston Scholarship Committee in July, 2008 and the winn notified by the end of August, 2008. Michelin Careers in Aviation Scholarship
Careers in Aviation is pleased to announce a partnership with Michelin Aircraft Tire in offering a $1000 scholarship award to a qualified applicant to complete their education in the field of aerospace. The scholarship is open to students enrolled in an aviation-related degree program. The student must maintain a grade-average of 3.0 or higher.

Florida Spaceport Chapter of the Ninety-Nines, Inc.
The Mary Blackwell - Anne Walker scholarship for $1,500. This scholarship is for any female pilot planning on making a career in aviation who meets the requirements and is interested in applying. For the application please go to Mary Black - Anne Walker Memorial Scholarship.
Air Traffic Control Association Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled in course work related to his/her aviation-related career and leading to a bachelor’s degree or greater.

TRB Transportation Research Board
Graduate Reserach Award Program in Public-Sector Aviation Issues
Applications Due by June 3, 2008
TRB has re-established a Graduate Research Award Program in Public-Sector Aviation Issues. The program, sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration and administered by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program, is designed to encourage applied research on airport and related aviation system issues and to foster the next generation of aviation community leaders. Under the program, up to 10 awards of $10,000 each will be made to graduate students for the successful completion of a research paper on public-sector airport-related aviation issues. Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university during the 2008-09 academic year. Details on the award program are available online. TRB
Commissary Scholarship for Military Families
$1,500 scholarships are available for children of military active-duty, retired, and Guard and Reserve service members. Most of the funds are donated by manufacturers, brokers and suppliers selling groceries in commissaries and every dollar donated to the program by industry or the general public goes to fung the scholarship. The program is administered by the Fisher House Foundation. The program is directed to those pursuing a full time scholastic program. For more information:
